Siemens buys Robicon!

On July 15th, 2005 Siemens anounced they had completed the acquisition of Robicon from High Voltage Engineering. Robicon's new name will be: Siemens LDR. Already Siemens has announced that they will invest heavily in the new ventue via a large invenstment in R & D as well as giving the go ahead to a large plant expansion to the Pittsburg facility. Robicon had gone through some tough financial times over the past 12 months, including a chapter 11 filing, but being acquired by Siemens could be the best thing to ever happen to the company. All current Robicon employees have accepted an employment offer from Siemens, and employee morale couldn't be better. In addition to the increased monies for research and development and the plant expansion, Siemens has given the go ahead to increasing the staffing in the engineering department and approved a world class marketing program.
