ACI-Controls Service Solutions is currently looking for a field service technician.
Scope & Responsibilities
This Service Technician will provide expert on-site and offsite service support for our customers, including problem diagnosis, analysis, and repair services; installation support and calibration of their equipment.
There are two positions available: one based out of West Seneca New York (Buffalo area) and the other based in Central New York (Syracuse area). Travel to our customers throughout New York is also required.
Specific Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing expert on-site and offsite service support for our customers, including problem diagnosis, analysis and repair services; installation support and calibration of their equipment, while continuously seeking opportunities to help the customer achieve their goals and providing recommendations to do so.
- Provide installation support, along with product and system installation services.
- Assume ownership of customers' issues and follow through until issues are resolved.
- Maintain appropriate communication with customer to insure they are well informed before, during and after service engagements.
- Insure that services are provided in the same time frame promised to the customer, and that the quality and completeness of the work performed meets or exceeds the customer expectations.
- Optimize customer satisfaction and preference for ACI-Controls products and services.
- Maintain high standards of professional conduct and ethical behavior in compliance with company standards and policies and governing local, state and federal law.
- Responsibilities include proper maintenance, care and accounting of personal computers and specialized tools and instrumentation.
Job Qualifications
- 3+ years of field service experience with Electrical Instrumentation and Controls.
- Proficient in the calibration of, but not limited to temperature, pressure, level, flow and speed.
- 2 year A.O.S. degree pertaining to this field.
- PLC experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to use standard test equipment including multimeters, analyzers and programmers.
- Strong problem solving, organizational and project management skills.
- Must be able to read and understand panel drawings and P&ID prints.
- Valid driver license.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Carry at least 50 Lbs.
- Work from ladders and elevated surfaces
- Travel to customer sites
